Edward Wormley (1907-1995) was an American designer of modern 20th-century furniture. His signature of taking the most classic elements from traditional and historical design and translating them to a more modern taste that maintained those sensibilities. Wormley’s work was sophisticated and immediately popular. Hired by the Dunbar Funiture Company to revamp their product line, the Dunbar Daybed is a direct result of that. The Dunbar Daybed’s white tufted leather in a buttoned seat pattern is attached to tapered brushed aluminum legs.
