Commonly referred to as “Cushion Baskets” by the Le Corbusier Group when the design was first conceived in a collaboration in 1928. Interestingly, the “Petit” model was designed for men so it has a much more narrow frame and seat. Black pillowy leather is surrounded by a chrome-like steel tubing frame in the Le Corbusier Petit Comfort Club Chair. As a response to the normal club chairs of the day, the Le Corbusier Petit Comfort Club Chair was the Modernist answer and ushered in a new era of design.
